Pride Month 2025 in International Village BIA

The International Village BIA is happy to announce two exciting Pride activations in our BIA this June to celebrate Pride Month. The BIA has installed 30 Pride pole wraps on King St. E. from Wellington St. to Mary St. and on Ferguson Ave. in downtown Hamilton. This temporary placemaking installation will be here until LRT construction begins. Special thanks to our very own Minuteman Press and the City of Hamilton for helping us with this project. A huge thank you to our friends at Unicorn Rebellion and especially our close friend Chris Farias for the amazing design.

In partnership with House of Adam and Steve and the City of Hamilton, the International Village BIA will be hosting our 2nd annual Village Pride celebration in the heart of downtown Hamilton for Open Streets at Ferguson Station.

We will host a marketplace at Ferguson Station showcasing queer makers and artisans, and spectacular drag performances throughout the day sure to get you up and dancing! Our diverse cast of drag artists include some of Hamilton’s most fabulous entertainers as well as special performances from our headliners Jada Hudson (Season 3 of Canada’s Drag Race, and Slaycation on Crave), BOA (Season 1 of Canada’s Drag Race, and Slaycation on Crave) and Ilona Verley (Season 1 of Canada’s Drag Race). This is an event you don’t want to miss! Wear your Pride and come to King St. E. & Ferguson Ave. S. to celebrate with us 11am to 4pm.

Don’t forget to visit the amazing businesses of International Village that day, several of which will be offering specials for one day only. We hope to see you there Hamilton! Walk, cycle or scoot your way to ‘The Village’ and show us your Pride during Village Pride at Open Streets. Happy Pride!
